1- What is the Product key Windows:
The product key is used in order to activate Windows10. Without your product key, Windows won't activate. In order to get started with Windows10, it needs the following pieces of information: Your name, email address, and password that INCLUDE CAPITAL LETTERS!. To check if you have provided these pieces of information correctly just go into Start > Settings > Update & Security >
Activation and select "Find Product Key".
If you have entered your information correctly then your product key will appear in the box under "Your product key is available here" with a blue background and your name also along with it. If you click on the "Get Key" button, it will provide you with a pop-up window of what your product key is. I have included an example below if this has happened to you.
If this has not happened to you, then you need to make sure of a few things. You need to make sure that Caps Lock is not on. Also, make sure that both your name and email address are correct because if it's not then Windows10 would have no idea who the information belongs to.
If this has happened to you, then follow the steps below.
1. Delete your local settings file. This is located in the following folder: C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Settings
2. Download and install a registry cleaner such as CCLEANER2010 from here: https://ccleaner.com/download/
3. Once installed, run it and then select "Remove Duplicate Keys" from the Analysis menu to find your product key. Also note that your product key will be listed at the end of this list (in blue text), you just need to make sure that it's correct.
4. If you'd like to double check and be sure it's right, then just open the attached Microsoft website and enter your email address for your registered Windows10 product key to be emailed to you.
