MoYoung Ltd., a technology developer located in Shenzhen, has selected Nordic's nRF52840 Bluetooth 5.2/Bluetooth Low Energy (BluetoothLE) advanced multi-protocol system-on-chip (SoC) as the company's Le Dai C16 smartwatch provides core processing functions and wireless connection functions.
The C16 smartwatch is a stylish wearable device that provides users with a series of activity tracking functions, including 20 exercise modes, pedometer function, calorie and exercise tracking, sedentary reminders, and social media notifications and call reminders. In addition, this smartwatch also provides a variety of health data, including sleep and 24-hour user heart rate and blood oxygen level intelligent monitoring.
The Bluetooth low energy connection assisted by NordicSoC can relay data from the C16 smartwatch to the user’s paired Bluetooth 4.0 (and higher) smartphone, and then perform various operations through supporting apps that support iOS or Android, such as self Define equipment, enter personal information, and view current and past data of all exercise modes and health functions through graphs.
The 64MHz, 32-bit Arm CortexM4 processor and Floating Point Unit (FPU) of NordicnRF52840SoC provide sensor and algorithm data processing functions for C16 smartwatches. The ArmCortexM4 processor is designed to support typical floating-point and digital signal processing calculations in high-end wireless applications. The processor combines a 2.4GHz multi-protocol radio (supports Bluetooth 5.2, ANT, Thread, Zigbee, IEEE802.15.4 and proprietary 2.4GHzRF protocol Software), and has sufficient 1MB flash memory and 256kBRAM memory allocation.
The C16 smartwatch has an IP67 waterproof rating, can reach a waterproof performance of up to 30 meters, and is powered by a 350mAh battery, which can stand by for 45 days or work continuously for 10 to 15 days.
