Xiaomi has restored its Mi Mix series with its first commercial folding mobile phone, Mi Mix Fold. The inner screen is an 8.01-inch 4:3 OLED panel with a resolution of 2480 x 1860, a standard display brightness of 600 nits (900 peak), and supports Dolby Vision HDR. Xiaomi said that the display can withstand 200,000 folding times. The external screen is 6.52 inches and the refresh rate is 90Hz. Xiaomi has a very powerful audio function for Mi Mix Fold. It has four Harman Kardon tuned speakers and what Xiaomi calls 3D panoramic sound.

The processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, paired with 12GB or 16GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage. With a battery capacity of 5,020mAh, Xiaomi said that the 67W fast charging system should be able to fully charge in 37 minutes.
The new Mix is also the first mobile phone to use liquid lens technology in its camera. Xiaomi said it can provide a telephoto lens with a close focus distance of 3cm and an optical zoom with 3x or 30x hybrid zoom. The rest of the camera system includes a Samsung HMX 108-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.
Xiaomi showed the prototype of a foldable phone for the first time more than two years ago, but Samsung has to be one step ahead and released its first Galaxy Fold.
